![]() My girlfriend spoke to the hotel manager on a visit she made a few weeks later and the manage told her she would need to speak with me in person. I called the Casino on 3 occasions and kept getting forwarded to someone else. I was not presented this bill when I checked out two days later. My friends were to have the non smoking room and the rooms were mixed up.Thus the $250.00 Canadian charge. Casino was very empty so maybe others agree that the cigarette smoking is a health hazard.…Īfter being charged on my visa for smoking in a non smoking room.My demoralizing experience began: I had no idea that I was in a non smoking room and when checking in I had asked the gentlemen at the desk for a smoking room. Even walking thru the casino caused our hair and clothing to reek like cigarette smoke. So maybe avoid the buffet! The cigarette smoking allowed in the casino destroyed any interest to gamble there. However, we had breakfast at the Willows the next day and ordered off the menu and it was very good with very good service and coffee. The fried shrimp was the only item that was fesh and hot as they had just re-filled it. The walleye was cold and tasted very fishy and did not seemed to be cooked all the way through. The potato option was mixed in with pieces of sausage and was all mushy. We ate at the Willows and had the Seafood Buffet. You could carry your drinks with you out to the casino floor if you wished. Canned beer and small/individual bottles of wine were available. ![]() The newly added "Sandbar" was just a few bottles of booze set on the counter in their "To-Go Fried Food" cafeteria. Great price using the Hunter Special coupon.Hotel staff were very nice.And despite the heavy smell of cigarette smoke elsewhere in the casino, the hotel rooms did not smell at all like smoke which we appreciated. Quiet with nice view of the marshland/water. ![]() The hotel room was very nice and clean with comfy beds.
